5 time Country Music Award winners in 2016, The Washboard Union have defied classification and have become one of the most exciting and talked about new bands on the Country music scene. This year the band took home both Rising Star and Roots Artist of the Year awards at the Canadian Country Music Awards, as well as 3 BC Country Music Awards for Group, Songwriter and Roots Artist of the Year. They had 2 top 10 singles in the past year with "Maybe It’s the Moonshine" & "Shot of Glory”.
As Warner Music/Slaight Music recording artists they are an authentic blend of where country and bluegrass are headed next. This year alone they have shared the stage with: The Zac Brown Band, Keith Urban, The Band Perry, Reba McEntire, Dwight Yoakam, Lonestar and more. As regulars to Nashville, Tennessee the band recorded their latest EP In My Bones at the legendary RCA Studio A. You simply have to see them Live!

It is impossible to simply define the multifarious talents of Beverley Mahood. A passionate musician, although her career began as a singer, today her resume reflects a global persona inclusive of additional professional accomplishments as an actress, model, and television host. An illustration of her lavish musical career, her discography includes 10 albums, countless accolades, and critical acclaim.

A devout philanthropist, in 2014 Beverley was recognized by the Canadian Country Music Association with the Slaight Music Humanitarian Award. A 2015 CCMA Female Artist of the Year nominee, Beverley recently returned to the studio, and signed with Canadian country music label MDM Recordings Inc. She released her new single “New Religion” earlier this year, to be followed by her highly anticipated new album, set for release later in 2016.

With her raw, acoustic, and (self-proclaimed) groove-driven music style, and honest, grasping lyrics, her singles have topped the Canadian charts; both as a solo artist and as a former member of the award winning trio Lace. A seasoned musician, her track “I Want a Man” reached number 7 on the Canadian Country radio charts, and was the number one video on CMT’s Chevy Top 20 (one of her three CMT videos to reach #1). Celebrated for her captivating songwriting she also penned “Come To Me” , a song recorded by Celine Dion for her platinum selling “Miracle” album (2004).
